    Trade FAQ

    Applicants need to provide a registered business name and ABN or equivalent business registration number for their country. We also require a website URL and/or social media details that supports your profession in the interior design industry and a description of the type of projects you work on. 

    All orders are to be placed via email at trade@thedharmadoor.com.au. Please include as much information as possible including product names, quantities, delivery date and delivery address.

    Minimum order value of AUD $300 (including trade discount and excluding freight) applies to all trade orders.

    Freight will be applied to orders according to the volume/weight and location of the delivery address.

    Your order will be dispatched from our third-party warehouse in Sydney. We aim to dispatch all available stock within 48 hours on business days. Estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only and commence from the date of dispatch. Public holidays and busy shopping periods such as Black Friday/pre-Christmas may affect despatch and delivery times. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive email confirmation.

    Yes, we ship internationally to many countries. Shipping costs are based on the volume/weight and location of the delivery address. The Dharma Door is not responsible for duties/taxes and customs requirements related to the order in the recipient's country. 

    If I order multiples of the same items, can you guarantee they will be exactly the same?

    While there is a high level of consistency across our collection, each piece is handcrafted with natural fibres by artisans in rural communities, not in factories or by machines. Small discrepancies in size and/or appearance may occur and we consider this to be a natural and charming feature of their handmade nature. Please take this into consideration when specifying our pieces for your projects, especially when using them in joinery.

    Items may be occasionally temporarily out-of-stock or back ordered. Any delivery delay will be communicated to you at such a time as we are notified from our artisan partners. Should any other unforeseen delay occur, we will make every effort to notify you in advance of delivery.

    Many pieces in our collections can be customised and we greatly enjoy bringing these bespoke pieces to life for your projects. However, the ability to customise an item is dependent on the limitations of the materials and techniques. Please email us at trade@thedharmadoor.com.au and let us know what you would like to customise.

    If you are located in the UK or Europe and wish to place a trade order or enquiry, please contact our partners The Dharma Door Europe at hello@thedharmadooreu.com.

    We are unable to redirect orders once your items have been dispatched, however we can change your address before your order has been dispatched.

    Be quick and we'll do our best to help you. We work with a third-party warehouse in Sydney and our ability to add items will depend on whether your initial order has been picked and packed.

    Please make a note when you place your order, or contact us within an hour if you require your order urgently, and we will endeavour to prioritise it.

    Please note that we strictly do not accept returns for a change of mind. We guarantee the products you purchase from The Dharma Door will be of high quality and will reach you in good condition. If you receive damaged or faulty goods, please contact us, with a photo of the product and details of the fault, within 48 hrs. Where the item is determined to be damaged or faulty, The Dharma Door will cover the costs of postage, otherwise shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. Please also see below FAQ regarding faulty goods.

    Please note a minor variation in colour/product dimensions from those listed on the Dharma Door website is normal for handmade pieces. It does not constitute a fault and does not warrant a return. Please allow a margin when making a decision for your space.

    We strictly do not offer returns/refunds on any sale or discounted items across the Dharma Door range.

    In the event of an international order not being received we will credit for the product cost or send a replacement item.

    Shipping/handling charges are not included in the credit.

    Preferably. Items should be returned in their original packaging to make sure they are protected in transit. Any tracking details must be emailed to The Dharma Door at the time of dispatch. We are not responsible for any returns that are lost in transit.

    We recommend that items are returned to us via courier to make sure they are protected and insured during transit. However, you may return the goods by any secure means, and we request that you contact us at hello@thedharmadoor.com.au in relation to such returns. Please note that we may not accept liability for goods that are not returned via courier.

    Items should be returned within 14 days of receiving your order. Returns outside this timeframe may be accepted at the discretion of The Dharma Door. Please contact us at hello@thedharmadoor.com.au.

    Your refund will either be credited to the original purchaser's credit card, or be returned to your Paypal account. We will exclude the cost of return (with the exception of faulty items); we deduct this to cover the cost of return delivery. Please note, due to the varying processing times of individual issuers, card refunds may take up to 10 days to appear in your account.

    Goods are classified as faulty if they are damaged when received, or where a production fault becomes apparent within 2 weeks of purchase. Please note that items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered to be faulty. If you would like to exchange a faulty item, we can only replace it for the same product, subject to availability. Please refer to our Care Instructions for the best way to look after your product.
