The Dharma Door has been commissioning the incredible skills of female artisans in remote, rural communities since 2004. By working with not-for-profit NGOs on the ground, we have developed a process that honours both our artisans and buyers.
Our NGO partners exist to support the artisans who make our products. They employ specialists in various fields, so that we can create products well suited to our taste, at the level of quality we desire. From there, everyone involved in the cycle plays an important role.
Providing consistent, ongoing work for as many artisans as possible lies at the heart of our business. We are proud that our approach delivers stunning handmade products that truly empower the people who make them.
